Exciting News from Shalimar Little League!

We
are thrilled to introduce our new President, Ed Hartley!
Ed is no stranger to Shalimar Little League, heโs been a dedicated volunteer for many seasons and has a heart for youth sports, teamwork, and building character in the next generation. Born and raised right here in Shalimar, Ed grew up playing on these very fields and knows firsthand the lifelong impact this league can have on young athletes. His mother and grandmother were both active volunteers for SLL for many years.
Ed attended Choctawhatchee High School (Class of 2004) and as a recipient of the Eagle Scout badge (Troop 512, April 2004), Ed has always believed in hard work, service, and community. He has been with Lee Nissan for 20 years, where he currently serves as a manager, and is also an active member of Cinco Baptist Church, a volunteer for Sleep In Heavenly Peace, and involved with other local organizations.
Ed and his wife, Chrissy are high school sweethearts of 22 years and are raising their three boys: Griffin (11, Majors), Hunter (6, Coach Pitch), and Sullivan (4, Tee Ball). Their family is deeply invested in this community, not only through Little League but also through the Real Estate Community and various local organizations and charities.
When asked about stepping into this role, Ed shared:
โAs someone who was born and raised in Shalimar and calls this area home, I have a deep love for this community and a personal connection to these fields. Preserving the history and integrity of what generations before us built since 1973 is very important to me. I am passionate about seeing this league thrive, not just for my own children, but for every child in our community. I want to create the same experience for my kids that I had growing up. I appreciate the opportunity and am looking forward to making a difference.โ
Please join us in giving Ed a warm welcome as our new President! With his leadership, heart, and dedication, we are excited for whatโs ahead in the 2025/26 season and beyond.
